This event is one of the city’s leading gatherings dedicated to celebrating and advancing women in leadership.
This premier, signature event convenes influential leaders from across the greater Washington, D.C. region for a morning designed to feed both your ambition and your heart. Keynote Speaker: Carla Hall

Carla is best known as a former co-host of ABC’s Emmy award winning, popular lifestyle series “The Chew” who over audiences when she competed on Bravo’s “Top Chef” and “Top Chef: All Stars”.
Her work as a motivational speaker has included speeches for The National Society of Leadership and Success at Texas A&M University, the Alabama Women’s Summit, and The Multi Unit FoodService Operators Conference. She also hosted the Emmy-nominated “Chasing Flavor with Carla Hall” (HBO Max) and currently serves as a judge on “Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking” (HBO Max), and the Halloween Baking Championship (Food Network).
Her latest cookbook, Carla Hall’s Soul Food: Everyday and Celebration, was published in 2018, landing on annual “Best Cookbook” lists across the country and receiving an NAACP Image Awards nomination. Carla is a graduate of Howard University.
Carla has generously partnered with The Junior League of Washington to promote children’s literacy through donations of her upcoming new book release, Carla and the Tin Can Cake Party, to our community partners.
