Junior League of Washington Awards More Than $160,000 in Grants, Book Donations, and Scholarships in Celebration of 105th Anniversary
The Junior League of Washington (JLW) announced that it will award a total of $120,000 in major grant funding to Washington, DC, area nonprofit organizations, along with a number of other smaller denomination and short-term grants.

‘Top Chef’ finalist Jen Carroll headlines Junior League of Washington’s Brookland Kitchen Tour
The Junior League of Washington’s seventh annual Kitchen Tour will include a special stop featuring celebrity chef Jen Carroll, a two-time Top Chef contestant and owner and executive chef of Carroll Couture Cuisine. The Kitchen Tour, happening Saturday, April 21, will spotlight unique homes and kitchens in the Brookland neighborhood in Northeast Washington. The tour will include stops at four homes with state-of-the-art kitchens in Brookland, with tastings and drinks served at each home from Washington-area restaurants and vendors.

Karen Hoefener of Nomad Dumplings will be among the women entrepreneurs giving talks and tastings at the Junior League of Washington’s (JLW) Toast of the Tour cocktail reception at Mess Hall, a business incubator and event space in Northeast Washington, on Thursday, April 12.

Junior League of Washington Supports Literacy and Voluntarism in the District with Annual Meg Graham Scholarship and Youth Poetry Contest
The Junior League of Washington (JLW) is pleased to announce two opportunities for District of Columbia students: the Meg Graham Scholarship for DC high school seniors demonstrating leadership in community service and academics; and the annual “Find Your Voice” poetry contest for students grades 4-8.
